What you're probably noticing

The fan runs but the air isn't cold. It cools for twenty minutes then quits. It hums and trips the breaker. It freezes into a block of ice. It rattles hard enough to wake the whole campground. Or the thermostat lights up and nothing happens at all.

Half of the air conditioners we're called out for don't need replacing. They need a capacitor, a clean coil, a good ground, or enough voltage at the pedestal.

What Camper Care does about it

We test before we sell. That means checking incoming voltage and the shore power connection, the breaker and wiring, the capacitor, the fan motor, the thermostat and control board, the coil and filter condition, and the return air path.

From there we do what's needed: capacitor and motor replacement, control board and thermostat repair, coil cleaning, gasket replacement to stop the roof leak a shifting unit caused, duct and vent repair, or a full unit replacement with the roof opening properly sealed.

Nearly all of this we do at your site, which matters most in July. Shop time is available if you'd rather drop it off in Roscoe.

Why this work will be better than factory

A new unit dropped on a bad gasket leaks. A unit installed without checking the ground fails again. We finish the job: the gasket compressed right, the wiring tight, the ducting sealed, and the airflow actually moving through the coach instead of leaking into the ceiling cavity.

You get a straight answer on repair versus replace, and the reason behind it.

Questions we get

Straight answers

Is it worth repairing an older A/C unit?
Often yes. Capacitors, fan motors, and boards are a fraction of the cost of a new unit. If the compressor is gone, we'll tell you replacement is the better money.
Why does my A/C freeze up?
Usually a dirty filter or coil, restricted return air, or running it on a very humid day at too low a setting. We clean it and check airflow.
Can you replace my A/C at a campground?
In most cases yes, weather permitting. We need safe roof access and calm conditions to seal it correctly.
My breaker trips when the A/C starts. What is that?
Commonly a weak capacitor, a tired compressor, or low voltage at the pedestal. We test all three instead of swapping parts.
