What you're probably noticing
The blower spins up and then shuts down without lighting. It lights, runs a minute, and cuts out. It clicks and does nothing. The air comes out cool. It cycles constantly. There's a smell of propane or a strong dusty burn when it first kicks on.
Furnaces sit unused all summer collecting dust and mouse nests. Most fall no-heat calls start there.
What I do about it
I test the whole sequence the way the furnace runs it: thermostat call, blower speed, sail switch, limit switch, igniter and gas valve, propane pressure, and the exhaust and intake path. Then I repair what failed and clean out what shouldn't be in there.
Common work: sail and limit switch replacement, blower motor and wheel service, igniter and gas valve replacement, control board repair, thermostat replacement, duct and register repair, and clearing blocked exhaust vents.
I do furnace work on site in most cases. If the unit has to come out for bench work, it goes to the shop in Roscoe.
Why I do it this way
Plenty of shops replace a board when a dirty sail switch was the whole problem. I test in sequence, so you pay for the part that actually failed.
Heat also matters for everything else in your camper. When I'm in there before winter, I'll flag anything else that will freeze or fail, and I can winterize at the same visit.
